Interviewing Sybil Goldrich was such an honor and a real highlight. She has been on Oprah’s couch and at Larry’s desk, so it was kind of surreal to have her on my show. I met Sybil at Richard Simmons’ classes. Now in her 70’s, she still has the energy of a teenager. I fell in love with her and her story immediately.
One of my favorite moments from her interview is when she tells the story of how her husband Jimmy hopped into the hospital bed with her. It’s such a tender moment. I can’t even begin to imagine how you would feel knowing you’re about to have your breasts removed… but I imagine having someone like Jimmy there would have provided great comfort.
