Our deepest fear is a poem I have read and re read many times over. It was an honor to meet and interview Marianne Williamson on Kirsty TV. Marianne Williamson is a Spiritual Activist, Author and Lecturer. In this interview with Kirsty TV, we talk about her book, A Return To Love, the “cliff notes” of the book, A Course in Miracles.
Marianne Williamson talks to us about her greatest success and answers the age-old question, “What is success?”
“To feel that maybe somebody had a better time with something because of something you did.”
“The unhappiness of the modern world is a product of the fact that we are so focused on ourselves. And when you’re focused on someone else, in a positive way, not in a co-dependent way, in a way of knowing that your life is lived for a greater purpose outside of you just getting what you want, it lifts you into a higher emotional field.”

POEM – OUR DEEPEST FEAR
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
